I take hockey very seriously and have been committed to my dryland training since I was 12 years old. I train at the gym 3 times a week in season and five times a week during the off-season. I also attend as many goalie camps and clinics in my free time. I am an athlete, able to pick up most sports quickly. I have been on the high school Rugby and Baseball team since grade 9 and also play summer baseball at a AAA level. I have great leadership skills that I use at the rink and on the field. My goal is to be better than I was a month ago and to continue with that throughout high school and post-secondary.

Coach Testimonial

“Work ethic, determination, passion, and leadership. These are the characteristics Hunter brings to the rink every day. His drive to make himself and his team better have earned him the respect of his peers and coaches. What I really love about Hunter is his willingness to provide feedback to his team and coaches. He is always looking for ways to improve, both as an individual and in terms of the team as a whole. His teammates look to Hunter for guidance, both in how he prepares for games and in his execution. He is a true leader, both on and off the ice.”

“I have always been impressed at Hunter’s ambition to succeed and his quiet demeanor as a leader amongst the other athletes in our gym environment. I have been working with Hunter as his strength and conditioning coach for the past two years to help improve his strength, size, explosiveness, and overall confidence. He has made great strides in all these areas since beginning his dryland training. Hunter brings his best to each gym session regardless of where he is in season and I can always rely on him to be helping new athletes that are still finding their way in our facility. Hunter will take advantage of any chances available to come in and put in extra work before game days or practice for an upcoming combine so he can get the best score he can. I believe Hunter would be a great addition to any collegiate team’s hockey program and weight room and he will be greatly missed in ours.”

I know Hunter Valcour as I have had the pleasure of coaching him in baseball since 2017. I currently
coach him on the KV Midget AA Red Sox. I really enjoy having Hunter as part of the KV Midget Baseball
program. Hunter listens well and is a very coachable young man. He is always looking for input on how he can
improve as a player, accepts feedback well and sets a good example for his teammates. Hunter has an
excellent work ethic and is very competitive. He also makes the entire team better by periodically
challenging teammates that might not be giving their best. My experience is that Hunter has good
judgment and values. He is an honest young man who is not afraid to say what is on his mind. I believe
Hunter has the mental and physical qualities needed to become an elite athlete if given the opportunity
to do so. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss Hunter in more detail.
